It's gone
We load, sweep up, and haul it off — donating and recycling as much as we can.
We donate first, landfill last
Most junk-removal companies drive straight to the dump. We don't. Usable furniture, dishware, and household goods go to the Salvation Army and directly to local families who can't afford to buy new — often Hispanic families right here in our community. Metal, cardboard, and e-waste go to recyclers. Only what's truly unusable is disposed of responsibly.

How much does junk removal cost in Marin County?
Every job starts at a $100 minimum. Your exact price depends on volume, weight and access, and we always give you one upfront, all-in quote before we lift a thing — no hourly meters, fuel charges, or franchise surcharges.
Do you offer same-day junk removal?
Often, yes. Same-day slots open up regularly — call, text, or fill out our quote form and we'll let you know the soonest available time.
What areas do you serve?
We're based in San Rafael and serve all of Marin and Sonoma counties — including Larkspur, Mill Valley, Tiburon, Novato, Corte Madera and San Anselmo — plus Santa Rosa and Sonoma. Outside that area? Ask anyway, we often travel a little further.
What items can't you take?
We take almost everything — furniture, appliances, garage and basement cleanouts, yard and construction debris, e-waste, hot tubs and sheds, and full estate cleanouts. A few items carry extra dump fees the Marin transfer station charges (hot tubs, TVs/monitors, mattresses, tires and large appliances), which we'll always tell you upfront.
Do you donate or recycle instead of dumping everything?
Yes. We're locally owned and donate or recycle as much as we possibly can instead of sending it straight to the landfill.
Do I need to be present for the pickup?
Not necessarily — many customers arrange access details (gate codes, garage location, etc.) in the notes on their quote request and aren't home when we arrive. Just let us know your preference when you book.

What Marin & Sonoma neighbors say
We're a brand-new local business earning every review the honest way — one good job at a time. Here's what customers are saying, plus a one-minute way to leave yours.
What our customers say
"Reached out in the morning and GreenHaul had someone at my place the same day. Super flexible and fairly priced. They cleared out all my yard debris, boxes, and trash. Love that they donate and recycle first instead of going straight to the landfill. Fast, fair, and professional. If you need junk hauled in Marin, call them first."
"Quentin, Clea and their team got the job done with efficiency and politeness. They responded within an hour and started the same day. Their pricing was very reasonable. I am happy and you will be, too!"
"If I could give Quentin and his team more than 5 stars, I would. He and his team came and rescued a client of mine from a huge mess that was left by not so cleanly tenants. They worked efficiently, steady and they are very honest with their price. I highly recommend them for services here in Marin. I am a Realtor of 20 years and greatly appreciate this company."
"Quentin communicated efficiently was on time, reasonably priced and I am happy to know they try to keep items out of the landfill when possible."
"Could not be happier with the service that I received! This young couple is so determined to be the best and as far as I'm concerned, they sure were! Price was perfect. They were clean. They even swept an area where a little bit of debris fell on the ground -just all around good guys at a great price!"
"Highly recommend Quentin! We are a volunteer-run nonprofit and desperately needed to clear out a courtyard full of debris from a summer remodeling project. Quentin responded immediately, gave a quick photo-based estimate, and then visited the site in person (bringing along his adorable dog, Harley!). Even though there was more junk than he initially anticipated, he completely honored his original estimate. His pricing is fair, his attitude is incredibly pleasant, and he knocked out the entire job in a single day. We are so grateful for his help!"
"I happened to come upon an ad for Greenhaul JR and immediately loved their premise of reusing or donating 'junk' prior to going to the landfill. Quentin's prices are reasonable, and he came to our house to pick up our stuff the same day I called him! He, and his dad, Troy, were heard-working, polite, and great communicators. For example, when he was running late, he let me know well in advance. As a bonus, he brought his 8-mo old GSD puppy who played non-stop with our almost 2 yo GSD pup. I highly recommend using Greenhaul and we will definitely use them again when we need help with 'junk' removal."
"I liked the premise of Greenhaul JR because they reuse or donate whatever they can. I hate taking anything to the dump when it can be reused or repurposed. We have ltd. space so we kept some wood from a deck remodel, but had no place to store the rest. It was soon-to-be-headed to the dump. When I contacted Quentin, he let me know he could come out later that day. He was running late, and he notified me well in advance to let me know. Q and his dad, Troy showed up and got all of our wood loaded and gone within a couple of hours. As a bonus, they brought their puppy so our puppy got to have a fun run-around with their beautiful dog. Hard workers, smart biz model, nice people and fair pricing. I highly recommend Greenhaul and I know we will use them again!"
"Quincy and his team were great to work with. I submitted a request for a quote online and they responded quickly with a reasonable quote. I reached out to them because I really appreciate their mission of the land-fill being the last resort. They were able to recycle most of what I needed to get rid of. I will definitely be calling them again and highly recommend them."

Dumpster rental FAQs
How much does a dumpster rental cost?
One flat rate: $649 covers your whole rental — 1 to 3 days, delivery, pickup, dump fees, and 1.5–2 tons of debris all included. Additional weight beyond that is $120 per ton. No hourly meters, no hidden add-ons.
What size dumpster do you offer?
Just one: a 15-cubic-yard dump trailer. It's the size that fits most driveways and handles the large majority of home and yard projects, so there's no guessing between sizes — one simple, flat rental.
How long do I get to keep it?
Your rental includes 3 days from drop-off. That's usually plenty of time to load it at your own pace.
What if I fill it up before day 3?
Call or text us — we're happy to swing by early and haul it off and dump it ahead of schedule at no extra charge.
What if I need it a little longer?
Reach out before your 3 days are up and we'll do our best to work with your schedule.
Is the dump fee included in the price?
Yes. Your $649 flat rate already includes drop-off, pickup and disposal, plus 1.5–2 tons of debris — no separate haul-away or tipping fee sprung on you at pickup. Loads heavier than that (like dirt, concrete or roofing debris often run) are billed at $120 per additional ton; we'll always confirm the total with you before we haul it away.
Is there a weight limit?
Your $649 rate includes 1.5–2 tons of debris — plenty for most household, yard and remodel projects. Beyond that, extra weight is $120 per ton, confirmed with you before final pickup so there are never any surprises.
Do I need a permit?
Usually not if the trailer stays on your own driveway or property. If it needs to sit in the street, check with your city first — we're happy to help you figure out what's required.
What can't go in the trailer?
Wet paint, chemicals and other hazardous liquids, asbestos and other regulated materials, and tires, batteries, ammunition or explosives. Almost everything else — household junk, yard debris, remodel and construction debris — is fair game.
Do you offer same-day drop-off?
Often, yes, depending on availability. Call, text, or request a quote and we'll confirm the soonest opening.
What areas do you deliver to?
All of Marin and Sonoma counties, San Francisco, and the East Bay via the Richmond–San Rafael Bridge. See the full list of cities below, or ask anyway — we often travel a little further.

Brand new, and proud of it
We're two students at Dominican University who started GreenHaul this year to help put ourselves through school — right here in San Rafael, with our dog Harley riding shotgun. What began as a way to fund our education has turned into something we're building to last: a real local brand, earned one honest job at a time, that we intend to grow into a company that outlives our time in college.
When you call, you get one of us — not a call center. We always answer our own phone, quote fair prices upfront, and donate or recycle everything we can instead of dumping it.
What we stand for
Donate & recycle first, always.
The quote is the price.
Vetted, friendly, on time.
We sweep before we go.
Mission & vision
Our mission
To make clearing out clutter easy, fair, and genuinely good for our community — showing up on time, quoting honestly, and donating or recycling first so more of what we haul finds a second home instead of a landfill.
Our vision
To grow GreenHaul from two students with a truck and trailer into Marin and Sonoma's most trusted name in junk removal — and, in time, a lasting company known as much for how it treats people and the planet as for the work it does.
